Before Delivery…

We deliver utilizing a 1-ton truck and hydraulic tilt trailer combination. A 20-foot storage container requires about 75 feet in a straight line for us to pull out from underneath and gently set it in place. A 40-foot storage container will need about 110 feet of straight line clearance. Both require 6-12 inches room on either side of the container and sufficient overhead clearance. (If you have power lines or other obstructions nearby let us know).

  • Can a truck & trailer of required length access your property? Is there room to manouever around mailboxes, culverts and fences?

  • Is the ground reltively level and firm? (a muddy driveway and/or access to the placement site can present complications)

  • Is there a spot ready to place the shipping container?

  • Is the site prone to flooding or standing water?

Q3 can place a shipping containers on almost any of the surface including: earth, grass, gravel, asphalt or concrete. If a container is placed on bare earth or grass we recommend placing 4"-6" treated wood or concrete blocks under each corner - allowing air to circulate underneath the container. For well drained gravel, concrete or asphalt the container may be placed without and blocking.
